How Sync Works
Zettelcrypt uses a snapshot-based sync system. Each change creates an encrypted snapshot that is pushed to the server. Other devices pull the latest snapshots and merge them with local state.
Conflict Resolution
When the same note is edited on multiple devices before syncing, the system uses last-write-wins with full version history. You never lose data — previous versions are preserved and can be reviewed.
Status Indicators
A subtle sync status indicator shows the current state: a green dot means everything is synced, orange means changes are being uploaded, and gray means you're working offline. The indicator is designed to be informative without being distracting.
